MEMORIAM

Platform: Windows 64

Memoriam is the first game prototype made by Trauma Studios, a team of 5 international developers who partnered to submit a joint project for Brackeys Game Jam 2023.2: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-10. The game was developed in 7 days, from 21.08.2023 to 27.08.2023.

Let an omniscient narrator guide you as you navigate a liminal world. Take on the form of an ethereal raven  representative of the player character's soul, as you dive deeper into yourself and uncover the mysteries of your own mind.

Memoriam is a three act game with levels that tie in thematically to emotions (Confusion, Apprehension, Determination). A combination of powerful storytelling and variable combat manoeuvres, the team's core pillars sought to prioritise both rich audio-visual immersion and fun gameplay mechanics.

Thanks so much, I'm the voice :D! If you play it till the end, it gets darker and deeper story-wise c: I think there's only 2-ish more levels after that. Thanks for the review :D

Spicy game, the narrative was fire, art looked great! I was kind of disappointed the last ability was jumping and ended there but overall GREAT game.

Amazing work! I'm surprised you came up with this one in just a week, it feels very polished. The gameplay felt great, audio and visuals too, and I loved the narration :D

The game gave me a very “classic” feeling, which made me enjoy it a lot. The story telling was amazing, the game kept me entertained the entire time and kept me wondering what would be next. Loved the mobility of the game and the storytelling gave a lot of depth to the game, which I believe matched the game jam theme perfectly!
